I was born some time ago in West Yorkshire, when the Beatles were still together (just), and raised, shortly after, in the small seaside town of Skegness in Lincolnshire, on the bracing east-coast of the UK.
I’ve spent a couple of decades having adventures here in London and beyond.
Writing gives vent to my ideas and imagination both in the long form of the spy novel and memoir as well as short, with the occasional blog and tweet.
Parts of the journey are detailed in the medley dadless- a memoir, which was self-published through our own Microdot Books, in the late Summer of 2019.
This came on the back of a few millennial underground record releases on CD and the blessed vinyl, most of which is streaming currently on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
I immersed in the whole process including art, design and illustration when a concept arrives or supports a story or in some cases kicks it off, as evidenced in the pop-art section of the site.
The spy-fi BARBELL series of novels is coming soon, beginning with the espionage faery-tale The Glimmer Girl (Day of the Jackal meets the Wicker Man).
With The Glimmer Girl we’re really putting the spook into spy- fiction with a 31/10/20 Halloween publication date. (Get in touch if you‘d like an ARC [Advanced Reader Copy])
I’ll also be blogging about aspects of the BARBELL series of novels and whatever takes my fancy across Full Spectrum Modernism and hopefully tickles yours, so do come along . 💻👇🏽
